Faxing in RingCentral

Instructions for sending and receiving faxes in RingCentral

  • If your department phone number has been authorized to receive faxes, then any faxes sent to your fax number (or directly to your main department phone number) will be automatically forwarded to your department email address. The fax will be an attachment on that email.

  • If your department has been authorized to send faxes, then you will be able to send faxes from the desktop RingCentral app. Since you must use the app, employees who don't have a RingCentral account will not be able to send faxes.

    In the desktop app, click the + icon in the top right corner and select Send new fax. Fill in the number you want to fax to. Select the From phone number (this should be your main department phone number or your personal RingCentral number). Next, select the a cover page if you would like one, and fill in a note which is optional. Lastly, click the paperclip and attach the file you would like to fax, then click Send now. It can take the app a few minutes to process and send the fax.
